I've been meeting parents and students regarding the mid-year results these days.
As I try to give advice to my students as to how to do better in front of their parents, I feel profoundly sorry. On one hand, I can see how during the term, some of them have been extremely playful and that has contributed to their unsatisfactory results. On the other hand, I do sympathise with these students and want them to maintain a healthy self-image.
Do your best in whatever you do. Once you have tried your best and you know that there is nothing else you could have done better, there isn't any regret that you should keep with you.
Take the feedback from those around you in a positive light. Although we've tried our best, there are always things we can improve on in the future. May we learn to stay humble and always inspired to grow.
