I still suffered from slight withdrawal symptoms on the first day, thinking about what everybody was doing in school and worrying about whether my students would be alright. I miss my colleagues and students quite a bit.
These few days have been like the slow pacing of steps at the beginning stages of a marathon. I'm slowly finding my footing, reading papers, getting inducted and reflecting a lot. I'm learning. I hope that these years here will find me richer in thought and experience so that when I'm out in schools again, I can contribute more effectively as a teacher.
I'm thankful for everything.
